Baptisms

Baptism is all about belonging, hope and new life and at Dalmuir Old Kilpatrick
Church, we rejoice in seeing folks welcomed into the life of the church. Our Locum Minister, Rev Steven Henderson would enjoy meeting with folks who request baptism, to discuss its meaning and significance for their child or themselves, explore the promises and commitment involved and discuss the difference between baptism and blessing; in order to work out together what the most appropriate way to celebrate the birth of your child might be.

Weddings

As a parish church, we are delighted to chat with any couple who would like to give thanks and seal their love for one another, by exchanging their marriage vows in the presence of God, one another, and family and friends in the church sanctuary. The Minister would be delighted to discuss the different parts of the liturgy and vows with you and is more than happy to work together, to create a wedding service that is meaningful and memorable for you.

Funerals

There is a poem that says that ‘death is nothing at all,’ but for those who have lost a loved one, we know that this is far from true. Yet, death is part of life and, as a Christian Church, we believe that Jesus has broken its power and hope and new life can be ours. As a parish church, Dalmuir Old Kilpatrick is privileged to be able to offer pastoral support during such a sad time and our Locum Minister Rev Steven Henderson and Session Clerk. Liz Stewart are on hand to offer pastoral support and guidance about the funeral service and assist with arrangements and conduct the service.
